Dakota Fanning Does A Rihanna In A VERY See-Through Frock

It seems as if Dakota Fanning is making every effort to shift her butter-wouldn't-melt persona; with her gorgeous Bambi-eyes, porcelain skin and golden blonde tresses, she's certainly got the fairytale beauty-look down. However, her dress sense is a very different matter...

Over the past few weeks Dakota has been sporting some very cool and edgy ensembles ranging from a stunning tomato-red fringe dress to a black, patent panel t-shirt dress from the Alexander Wang X H&M collection.

But her latest outfit is definitely the most head-turning yet. We clocked the 20-year-old actress at the Ace Awards Gala in NYC sporting a rather revealing crochet-knit frock that, if it wasn't for her triangle bralet and oversized pant combo, would have left very little to the imagination.

While we're used to seeing stars like Rihanna and Cara Delevingne sport raunchy frocks, the blue 'dress' was definitely a daring choice for the young starlet; although we reckon with her perfectly toned bod that she manages to pull it off. Ever the sartorial pro, Dakota offset her dress with chunky strap black sandals that gave it a cool edge and, of you look closely, you'll see she's matched her pedi to the royal blue tone of her frock too. Proof that it pays not to overlook the little details of your ensemble. Finishing off her outfit with an on-point fringed clutch bag we have to admit we're kind of loving Dakota's brave new style.
