It’s not hard to see why, but it seems Kate Middleton is landing the top spot of every hair poll going, and in the latest tally the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge beat The Saturdays stars Rochelle Humes and Frankie Sandford, as well as Kim Kardashian, to be noted as having the nation’s favourite celebrity hairstyle.

While pregnancy is known for playing havoc with your hair, it’s interesting to see that the top three spots in the poll, conducted by Fabriah.com, is taken up by three expecting ladies: Kate Middleton, Rochelle Humes and Frankie Sandford.

And Kim Kardashian made the cut too, coming in at joint fifth with Halle Berry. It seems the brunettes are reigning supreme in the hair stakes!

Get Cara's hairstyle...

- Prep hair with Tigi Catwalk’s Session Series Salt Spray and rough dry the hair away from face.

- On both sides of your head, take a C curve section from the hair line to the nape of the neck.

- Braid both sides back away from the face and fasten each braid with a clear elastic band.

- Plait the middle section of your hair loosely back away from the face down the nape of the neck and fasten with a clear elastic band.

- Finally, bring the ends of the side braids then wrap them around the middle braid and fasten with grips.

- Finish by spraying Tigi Catwalk’s Session Series Work It Hairspray.

Kim Kardashian is known for her controversy-causing selfies and often makes the headlines for her latest Instagram uploads but now the 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardshian's starlet has come under major fire for a completely different shot to the rest.

Yesterday evening, the mother-of-one posted a snap that she had taken herself of her holding her 18-month-old daughter, North West, only to cut the tot out of the shot almost entirely.

Unsurprisingly, what happened next wasn't all that pretty.

Almost as soon as she hit the 'share' button, comments from her 23.5 million strong Insta-following erupted on her news-feed branding her 'the worst mother ever', with some of her fans going as far to unfollow her: 'Ya. I have to unfollow. Too narcissistic for me.' Ouch.

In true KKW form, she was quick to hit back at the harsh comments, taking to her Twitter account to set the record straight. Kim revealed the reason she chose to exclude her daughter from the photograph, saying: 'Her eyes were closed and I was feeling my look! Can I live?!?!'

However, some of her die-hard fans have come to the reality TV star's aid, saying: 'Its not a big deal if she cropped her out… Like chill', and 'Y'all act like y'all never cropped someone out of your picture lol.'

Ok, we get she probably didn't (or we HOPE she didn't) want this reaction but even she's got to see that cutting your only child out of a selfie and sharing it for all the world to see is going to come with some sort of backlash.

Better get working on your selfie-game, North...

1. The Dress When it comes to zombie Dorothy it's all about the dress. Now, we're not talking sexy zombie Dorothy ladies, the key is keeping it authentic Kansas. Emily bought her oh so adorable costume from Coventry costumiers Kenicky's Fancy Dress. Handmade to fit your individual size, this is halloween haute couture. So forget your factory-made pound shop purchase, only the best will do for haunting the Ross estate. Oh and did we mention they do free UK delivery? You can thank us later.

2. The Socks You're never going to achieve that 'butter wouldn't melt' true Dorothy look if you ignore the socks. Adding just the right amount of innocence to an otherwise horrifying costume, these Topshop ankle socks are the perfect finishing touch to those ruby slippers.

3. The Ruby Slippers Let's be honest, this is the key to the whole Dorothy look. And yes, it might also be a great excuse to buy a pair of ridiculously sparkly heels… Admittedly we're not fans of the sexy take on halloween (the sexy minion was just too far for us) but there's no reason why you can't embrace a more flattering heel than the classic flats. These jazzy New Look heels are spot on. Dorothy, eat your heart out.

4. The Hair This costume is all about the finishing touches. After curling your hair into Dorothy-esque locks, tie it into two bunches and secure with hair ties. Complete the Dorothy do' by tying bows around each bunch with light blue ribbon to match your dress. This pastel blue ribbon from Hobbycraft is perfect for that sickly sweet look. For a professional finish do as Emily did and get celeb regular Lisa Hauck to nail your zombie hair and makeup.

5. Toto Fact - Dorothy is nothing without Toto. We loved this West Highland Terrier from Amazon so much that we cut his eye out… Well it is a zombie costume! Transform Toto into the undead by taking out an eye and sewing it roughly back up with black thread (you can also sew on random stitches using the same thread for that classic Frankenstein look), then roughly cut sections out of the ears and finally splatter with a generous helping of fake blood. Yes, we know it sounds a bit crazy but a zombie Dorothy's gotta' do what a zombie Dorothy's gotta' do. And trust us, it will look awesome. You're not in Kansas anymore.

We don't know about you, but here at InStyle we've noticed that Kate Middleton's style has taken a new direction of late, veering towards a younger, more fashion forward approach to royal dressing. Hemlines are shorter, fabrics slightly sheerer. Perhaps the Duchess of Cambridge is celebrating the fact that her severe morning sickness has finally passed and she can wear something other than, presumably, a pair of tracky bums and a T-shirt (that's what we'd be wearing, anyway).

Or maybe Kate's renewed style is down to the fact that she's bagged herself a new personal dresser. According to reports, the expectant mum has recruited her former personal assistant, 27-year-old Natasha Archer, as her new stylist – and we reckon it's an appointment that's paid off. Tash, as she's known at Kensington Palace where she has worked since 2007, reportedly first started helping Kate out with her wardrobe back in April during the royal tour to Australia and New Zealand, alongside the Queen's personal dresser Angela Kelly, who was brought on board to give Kate a 'more regal' look. Which apparently translated as knee-length skirts and dress coats.

Now that three-week tour is over, Kate is keen to wear clothes more befitting her 32 years, and has employed Ms Archer to help with a slightly younger look. While Kate is still looking to the same designers for now – Jenny Packham and Temperley are still firm favourites – we've certainly never seen her rock a mullet hem before like she did at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards, or the tricky cut-out trend she wore to another gala in London last month.

'Natasha shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on,' said Vanity Fair's royal reporter Katie Nicholl. 'She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes.'

Not content with throwing merely one seriously-lavish wedding, actor George Clooney and his new wife, human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin (or Clooney, as her website now suggests), are gearing up for their second round of celebrations. And, get this; they'll be held on British soil! For those who couldn't attend the three-day extravaganza the couple held in Venice last month, the pair have decided to throw another bash for the big day's absentees. Clearly, our hopes of bagging a coveted invite have been quashed as sources have said the party will be held tomorrow at the majestic Danesfield House in Buckinghamshire. Fine. Be like that, George. While the event has mainly been arranged for the benefit of Amal's family and work colleagues, George apparently took it upon himself to find the stunning venue for the not-so-humble get-together.

George is said to have fallen in love with the manor when he visited it during the filming of The Monuments Men back in 2013 and could think of no better place to host the UK-leg of the couple's nuptials. If we're to believe everything the rumour-mill spins, then it sounds like Brad Pitt could be set to attend the bash. Regardless, we're sure Amal will look nothing short of amazing, as she has done since her first set of I do's.

Mila Kunis may have only given birth to her first child, Wyatt Isabelle, last month but she's already using her role as a first-time mother in the best possible way.

To mark the birth of herself and funny-man fiancé Ashton Kutcher's first baby, the 31-year-old actress has designed a stunning emerald "motherhood ring" that will, in turn, benefit other mothers.

Mila is a global ambassador for Gemfields - the world's leading supplier of responsibly sourced coloured gemstones - and has joined forces with them to create the 18-karat yellow-gold emerald ring with jewellery-maverick Marina B. It might sound like a slightly indulgent collaboration but the reason behind it is actually pretty remarkable; all of the profits from the sales of the ring will go to fund a maternity centre in Zambia, very close to where the Gemfields mine is situated.

Speaking of the design, it's easy to see that this is an issue that's now become very close to Mila's heart. The Family Guy and Black Swan star revealed that: 'Carrying a child and bringing new life into the world marks the start of an incredible journey. Throughout history, every culture has its own way of recognising this extraordinary event, often with a gift for mother or child. Precious green emeralds are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom, and long-lasting love.'
